GREETINGS TO OUR NEW 6 YELLOW STUDENTS!!!
A cool refreshing greeting to all!
Summer break is almost over. In a few days, our students will be entering our school as 6th graders! Expect this year to fly really fast as our learners will all be very busy trying their best to get to the finish line, graduating from elementary, with flying colors. By "flying colors," I refer to the amount of effort exerted to get through challenging situations and expectations. To be focused and doing your best at all times are important. Remember our class motto in fifth grade: STRIVING FOR SUCCESS WITHOUT HARD WORK IS LIKE TRYING TO HARVEST WHERE YOU HAVEN'T PLANTED.
In sixth grade, I would like to add that SUCCESS IS MEASURED BY EFFORT. Keep your eyes on the prize - on your goal - to the future because the amount of time, energy and dedication you spend in overcoming hurdles or difficulties along the way will eventually bring you to where you want to be. With persistence, success will always follow. Einstein said, GENIUS OR SUCCESS IS 1% INSPIRATION (idea) AND 99% PERSPIRATION (hard work.)
So, seniors of 6 Yellow, get ready for the new school year. I know you all have what it takes to be the best that you can be!
Supporting and rooting for all of you,
Ms. Chen

Dear 5Yellow Families:
Greetings!
Since the first semester of 5th grade, our students have been devoting much time working and developing their reading and writing skills. Positive results have been noted especially for those who took the Cambridge Exams. Notwithstanding these positive results for some of our students, we are going to continue strengthening the reading and writing proficiencies of the class as a whole.
In this regard, the entire 5th grade will be given a separate Reading and Writing Midterm Exam. This will allow our students to have more time to write well and demonstrate comprehension skills within a reasonable period of time. Our midterm exam schedule this semester will be as follows:
Best Regards,
Ms. Lolit Chen

Dear Parents and Students,
Week 7 is another short week. This, plus the fact that the singing contest is also happening with the week, has even made our schedule tighter than ever! After the singing contest on Wednesday, we are going to be working faster and harder to catch up with the lessons and in reviewing. for the midterm exams. Please manage your time well and review early!
Also, I would like to remind you all that the Poke-A-Monster Reading Program is ending on October 17 (How time flies!) However, I'm extending the reading period to October 25. The total required reading time that each student must reach has to be at least 720 minutes and at least 6 reading journals. For the guidelines on our Poke-A-Monster Reading Program - click on this link:
